Heavy-duty rubber rings for elasticator castration of calves, lambs and piglets.
Imported rubber "ox-tendon" rings stretched onto an elastrator tool, then slipped above the scrotum or tail. Blood supply is cut off and the tissue separates in 2–4 weeks.
Stretch the ring open with an elastrator tool, slide over the tail or above the scrotum, release. The ring stays put for a few weeks and is then shed naturally.
Bloodless method — no cutting, no wound care. Best performed on young animals (2–8 weeks in calves).
Use a fresh ring every time; used rings lose tension.
