Respiration & Heart Rate Monitor
A non-contact respiration and heart-rate monitor hung over a calf hutch or pen. Screens for pneumonia and inflammation in the 0–14-day window where early intervention saves calves.

A disposable intravaginal temperature logger held in place at the cervix for about 30 days post-calving. Records body temperature 5–10 times per hour and pushes to the cloud platform, so you get a daily temperature curve per cow.
Retained in the vagina/cervix by a mechanical housing that also holds the sensor and radio. Each hour takes 5–10 samples and pushes them to the gateway, then to the cloud.
Temperature thresholds are configurable — pick from preset ranges or set your own normal / warning / danger bands. Colour-coded dashboard flags outliers.
Environment temperature is also captured, so you can separate "the cow is spiking" from "the whole barn is hot" when reading heat-stress events.
Deployment: gateway covers roughly 50 m radius — count gateways by barn span. Boot once (device is single-use, 30-day life), bind the cow ID via the mini-program, then insert. Rebindable up to 30 times during the 30-day window.
